Why does waiting have to be so hard?

A message from the Decibel team:

Beloved,  have you ever asked, “What happened to Your promise to me, Lord?”
Maybe you’ve believed Him for something since (what feels like) forever, just like Sarah and Abraham in the Bible, who waited years before their son Isaac was born.
Perhaps you’ve taken matters into your own hands, but the situation has just gotten worse. Like how Sarah told Abraham to sleep with her servant girl Hagar in a bid to build a family…which didn’t end so well either (see Gen. 16).
It must have also been tough for Sarah and Abraham to see other couples have child after child, year upon year, while their own house remained empty. Do you also feel like everyone except you has had their prayers answered?
If that’s you, we wanna tell you that God hasn’t left you high and dry. 🙂 We hope our newest video will fill your heart with hope again:

See how Sarah and Abraham, as did many others, got more than double for their trouble. God over-fulfilled His promise of making Sarah a mother of kings and nations—our Lord Jesus came from her family line, and all of us believers today are considered descendants of Abraham too (Gen. 17:16; Gal. 3:29).
Likewise, the Lord has so much more in store for you. Your season of waiting isn’t a meaningless season of wandering. Even if you’ve given up on Him, He hasn’t given up—and He’s promised that His word will not return to Him empty (2 Tim. 2:13 MSG, Isa. 55:11 NASB).
Take heart!
Cheering you on,
