This week is about remembering the sacrificial death and miraculous resurrection of Jesus. And yesterday was no different. Palm Sunday may not be as recognized by many in the same way as Good Friday or Resurrection Sunday, but it’s still an important day. You see, it was on this day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and the people there celebrated His arrival with palm fronds, both raised high in praise and laid down on the ground before Him in honor and respect.

They were recognizing Jesus as their King and hoping to be freed from Roman rule, but what they didn’t realize is that He was riding in as their Savior. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of this Holy Week — the week when Jesus began His journey toward the cross.

I want to challenge you to read a passage in the Bible about Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection for the next seven days. Here is a reading plan for you to use as a guide. I hope you’ll allow the Lord to speak to you through His Word and that you’ll be reminded of the significance of this week and welcome everything Jesus is — love, grace, and goodness — into your life.

I believe there’s no limit to the amazing things the Lord will do in and through you!
